VE Day Afternoon Tea

Shoegirl organised a Virtual Tea Party for us today with extended family joining in on Zoom.  We raised a glass to my late father, who was one of those rescued from the beaches of Dunkerque and promptly sent back out to battle through Egypt and across to Italy with the 8th Army.  He didn’t get home till well after VE Day when he got to meet his son for the 
first time, aged 3.
