Day 47 : Ploughman’s Lunch
Followed by a home made scone with butter .
Now I’m not a farmer & none of my friends are farmers, but it strikes me there’s not much call for ploughing this time of year, or for the rest of the summer.
Perhaps that’s why pubs only serve us Ploughman’s Lunch in the summer: for the rest of the year, the ploughmen are eating them.
