Another tiny job completed, after a trip to Screwfix, that most wonderful place. I’m determined to keep the local branch open. And another visitation - we sat in the boatyard and his stories spilled out; he really should write them all down.
So, what’s the latest? A few days ago the papers had all been primed with the imminence of picnics. Seems a dampener is now being put on all such wild talk. Ms Sturgeon was more direct, saying that the only relaxation she would consider would be allowing people to exercise outdoors more than once a day from next week, if the scientific advice justified it. OK scientists, as I doubt you’ve time to rig a conclusive lab experiment we’ll have to go and do some maths, right. And no, going out for two hours rather than one isn’t twice the risk as there’ll be twice as many people each hour. I wonder what calculation was used in the first place to allow it, eh? That’s a good place to start (clue: it involved sticking a pinky in the air).
Later, Love and Mercy, a very decent Brian Wilson biopic with Paul Dano as a very convincing lead. And with all this sunshine, I might just play some. That Pet Sounds though, seriously, how did that cover get past the record execs? Or anyone, in fact?
