Gratitude
Another surprisingly sunny day with clear blue skies .Bramble and I had our daily walk without Dave as he is out of action although surprisingly perky for a chap on so many painkillers .
We missed him as have been really enjoying our daily walks together, another plus of retirement. His dislocation is the sort that will eventually right itself and it’s amazing to see some improvements already .
Today I have thought a lot about the power of gratitude, grateful for the rapid medical treatment Dave received, that he managed to sleep, for all the friends and family that sent messages of good cheer and support.
We are getting a lot of pleasure from our ( long neglected ) garden areas , helped by the fine weather. We usually perk it up with bedding plants bought from local nursery’s but in the lockdown are trying to make the most of Mother Nature’s offering .
Today I am especially grateful to the Herb Robert that visits every year and doesn’t always receive a warm welcome .
This tenacious plant has brightened up the place and established itself in several vacant pots. Todays Blip is of a corner that I usually fill with shop bought delights that welcome us home after a day at work . I enjoy placing unusual objects and creating an interesting little green space by the side door . This year Herb Robert is doing the job for me and I’m grateful.
