back-blip

Productive day for us all! Well, not blip-wise...obviously. I caught this blip quite early and spent the rest of the day thinking I'd blip it and it just didn't happen. So back-blip it is.

Amelie had a good play this morning whilst I cleaned the kitchen and sorted the dishes, we had breakfast and then she pottered around again whilst I did some ironing. Chris had been working nightshift so he got up about lunchtime, just as I was finishing the ironing, and decided to go for a run.

We went out to buy some butter and then we made scones. I had the urge to make them, even though I haven't actually ever made them without help from my Gran, and even then was about 12. I do lots of baking, but for some reason have never ventured into scone territory before...

15 flat scones later, perhaps I know why!

Anyway the scones were tasty even if they were cut too thin and Amelie had great fun helping. I've discovered there is more for a small child to help with when baking scones, rather than cupcakes for example. Or perhaps I'm just more anal when it comes to cupcakes.

Amelie seemed brighter today and calpol was not required. Her eyes were a tiny bit crusty when she woke but that was it. Still coughing though :(
