Lackey Moth Caterpillar

The light under 'my' oak tree in the very front garden is perfect, and I don't think I'm going to find a better blip today.

This lackey moth caterpillar might be one of those that escaped Janet's misidentification as sawfly larvae two weeks ago, because we saw at least one heading that way from the house five days ago.

The oak tree... when I saw he's mine, I planted him from an acorn taken from a veteran oak tree not far from where we live. He's probably about ten years old now and fifteen feet tall, and I love standing under him in the morning light.

Druid: wisdom of the oak... with added munchy caterpillars. In second place, the first poppy of the year.
