The Stubby Tree

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

There's a little stubby tree in the middle of our garden. I'm not sure what it is supposed to be. Clearly it is a feature and was put there on purpose, but it's a funny little thing. I'm rather fond of it.

This is a picture of the flowers on it, but you can see more of it in the extra.

The birds love it. It is close enough to the grass that they can sit there, waiting for Jasper to eff off, so they can get their breakfast that I throw out there every morning. It is really very pleasant seeing them sitting there, chirping and laughing at the cat.

Today is the day before implementation day at work. There's always a "calm before the storm" to these things, I find. So I took it easy and watched the birds.

In other news, I didn't get the job that I interviewed for on Monday. I wasn't bitter about it although FOOLS I WILL DESTROY THEM ALL. Truth be told, I didn't really know what they wanted from me. It didn't make sense to me and I think they sensed my attitude.

Caro and I are sanguine about it. It feels like things are starting up again here so we're not as worried as we were. And anyway, being funemployed wouldn't be so bad. It just means more time under the stubby tree.
