Totem

Not a toy, a totem, bought for me by Karen over a decade ago. The buffalo totem represents emotional courage. The buffalo has the endurance to carry heavy burdens and overcome. 

This is the second day I tried to take this photograph. I have a light with a blue gel aimed behind. Last time it did not turn out the way I wanted, today I laid it flat and it hit the wall differently for a smoother light. I aimed another light at the buffalo, at the lowest setting, and put it the right distance away to keep it from getting too bright. I wanted yellow and blue. The yellow base is actually a mailing envelope.
