A swarm

of gnats I presume dancing in the sunshine over the River Tern.

Lovely day weather wise and the wind was a little less fierce.  I made bread this morning.  It rose beautifully and rose even more in the oven.  Looked fantastic when it came out of the oven, cooled it on a rack and was feeling very pleased with myself until I cut into it.  Looking forward to a slice, drenched with butter and strawberry jam ............................  It was hollow, just like my stomach and my anticipation.  I give up with my G/F bread making and my laptop is playing up too so  Grrrrrr to the rest of the day, but looking forward to zooming in to Cornwall friends this evening - that'll lift my flagging spirits - together with a gin, or two!!
