To Swim or Not to Swim
For a month now, we’ve had MooseTV on in our living room most of the day. It’s a 24/7 slow TV project, broadcasting from the yearly moose migration in the northern parts of Sweden, where the moose have to swim across a river to get to their summer grazing grounds on the “fjällen” (mountains).
After a slow start, with lots of beautiful sceneries and many small and big animals including reindeer, beaver, otter, wolverine, fox and lots of birds, there are now moose aplenty! They hang around in the forest, snacking and resting before they have a go at swimming. Some think a LOT before they decide to try and some even turn back, even if they’re in the water! Mum put a few videos on YouTube, see links, if you have a few minutes of your life that you’d like to spend on swimming moose. I can recommend it! The whole thing is available worldwide this year. Search for “den stora älgvandringen” or go to https://www.svtplay.se/den-stora-algvandringen
Mum made a really nice Bolognese this afternoon. Real cooking! It was delicious.
There is a bark or two in the videos. Unavoidable. Sorry.
