Letter to an unknown someone

Today I wrote a letter to someone I don’t know and will undoubtedly never meet. It was a letter to someone in a care home here in Guernsey. We, as an island, have been asked to write a letter to lend some support to someone in a care home. As the homes have been closed to visitors for weeks now, the residents must be pretty lonely and fed up. So it is hoped that they will draw some comfort from the letters that will be delivered to them.
Today, our government have publicised their strategy for our exit from lockdown. We are currently in phase 2 of a six step process. It’s going to be a long road ahead.
