I saw an angel, of this I'm sure
Lockdown day..... I have no idea
I've lost track of time and days.
I think i have a bank holiday weekend. I'm excited for that.
Last night Tooli challenged me to do a Burpee. I'm confused by burpees, (a) because of their name, what is that all about, (b) how you actually do them.
So she demonstrated, and I watched.
Those of you who don't know me... I'm not a little lady... and recently, knees and hips have not been best. kneeling in the garden, requires some manouvering to get up again - I've never been so grateful for my kneeling thing- it's got handles to help me get up!,
I contemplated getting on the floor in one quick move... couldnt see how that would happen, without me breaking my arms, or my face.
Eventually we settled for dropping to a squat position and throwing myself forward. press up kind of thing, and then pushing and wobbling my way back to my feet.
once wasn't enough. She made me do another three.
I promised her I would keep trying until I can do it so that it looks like a recognisable burpee, instead of a woman having some kind of accident after too much wine; so today I got up and did three before breakfast, and then every time I came out of the bathroom, and headed back into the office, I'd do another one. I've managed 8 today.
Then we had our exercise. Tooli and I exercised together - I cycled, she ran, and then we walked together to the tide line it was a beautiful night. Absolutely beautiful.
Himself - started walking albeit virtually, the West Highland Way. - He managed 11 miles today. it's still gonna take him 9 days if he manages every day.
:How beautiful is the sunset. How beautiful can life be.
And my thoughts are with Mambo - a beautiful soul who has written with her heart, and lost her love at the weekend
