Cock-A-Doodle-Doo

A cloudy start to the day, but cleared by noon, and a wonderful sunny afternoon.  Cloudy again this evening.  A windy day, and that wind was cold this morning, and tonight.

Up early and set off walkies with Sammy after breakfast.  The rest of the day has been in the garden.  I've pressure washed fences and paths, general tidying, and also sorted and cleared the potting shed.  Mam and dad had to be in Scalloway today, and a yarn over the fence.  A quiet evening by the fire now.  It was meant to be my cousin Shannon's wedding day in Cyprus, shame we aren't their now.  On the upside, that's a full two weeks without any new Coronavirus cases in Shetland.  We are heading the right way for now.

Out on my early morning walk, and plenty of birds chirping and making noise.  As I came up the hill, and closer to Carol's, the noise changed and got louder.  Carol has two cockerels, and this is the smaller one, but oh boy what he could fill his lungs, and bellow out a cock-a-doodle-doo.  What a beautiful boy, stunning colours in his feathers.  Taken at Houlland, Scalloway.
