In the Garden of Sharing. Mural on the east side of St. Mary's Catholic School, 5 blocks from home.  “The concept is how nature and humanity share the same space. Nature can teach us how we can share in a more functional way,” said Paz, the artist creating the mural.


The big and brilliant mural is inspired by a woman Albuquerque loved, and Albuquerque lost last year. Jennifer Riordan died when an engine on the Southwest Airlines flight she was on malfunctioned.
She was someone many people knew and even those who didn't had probably heard about. She had four core values: kindness, loving, caring and sharing.
“The concept is how nature and humanity share the same space. Nature can teach us how we can share in a more functional way,” said Paz, the artist creating the mural.
The name of the mural is supposed to be a visual representation of sharing.
“It's a living, breathing ecosystem, this whole living thing is interconnected and that's the definition of sharing,” said Joanna Colangelo, community impact director of the Albuquerque Community Foundation.
“There's a lot of here in it. That's how we have hummingbirds. She loved hummingbirds and hot air balloons.”
