Happiness is the unfolding of that little bud from Sunday, it's turning salmon pink ...
Happiness is also realising that we have indeed made it to 75 years since the liberation of The Netherlands (5th of May is Liberation Day in The Netherlands), 75 years without war. The war children of then are the OAPs of today, that is if they're still alive today, had to find and send material about the war and how it was for my father as a child in a POW camp for my nephew, who has to write an essay on it for school. Let's hope our children and children's children will only know it through stories and not from living through it. We're living in  strange times but in no way are they anything like how it was during the war !
