Autumn and winter

So the snow is still here, and the tendency to walk around enjoying it is still here too. Today I set out early and took a slightly more roundabout but very scenic route to work. These leaves gave a welcome splash of colour in a fairly monochrome world and stood out immediately to the eye, although it took a few goes before I had a shot which went some way towards capturing what it was that made them stand out.
