39 metres or 128 feet

I couldn't find my old school protractor (not used it for a while) but like everything else, there's an app for it.  I took 3 readings at different distances and surprisingly they were all very close (less than 5% different). So I estimate this tree, a Grand Fir l think, at nearly 40m tall. I now need to do all the other trees in peebles to see if it is indeed the tallest.
It's about 5m taller than the church steeple on the right of my photo from yesterday.
