No apologies ...
for more bluebells, especially these we walked through today on the lovely woodland path above Ravenroyd.
As soon as we entered these woods the colour and scent was amazing. There are often deer in these woods which we didn’t see today but the bluebells all down the steep woodland banks to the wall below more than made up for it.
At the house in the hamlet of Ravenroyd the wisteria was flowering and the walk along the R Aire into Bingley had lovely reflections. Very few people till we got to Myrtle Park. The river compensated by providing the first gosling I’ve seen this year. Several pairs of Canada Geese but only one youngster. There was also a Yellow Wagtail on the rocks.
Leaving the people in the park we climbed up through Mouse Woods back to the road. A wonderful display of wild garlic (Ransom) was our final delight and the sunny weather was better than expected all the way. I do think the roads are busier though.
Stay safe everyone.
