Five Nations

Today we made a brief visit to the Wild Boer in Belmont Street. We must be approaching the seasons of the Six Nations Cup. Looking at the flags I thought something didn't look quite right. It troubled me for a while that I couldn't see why something seemed to be wrong.

Then it dawned on me, there was no England flag! I thought this might be due to a slight partiality as regards the hoped for results of the matches. I asked the barman who informed me they could not find any England flags on sale anywhere in Aberdeen. So maybe there was a certain partiality in the flag shops, even if not in the pub. Could it be that Aberdonians have suddenly caused a run on England flags?
