A Dog's Dinner

By G

McCullin

As part of our resolution to go out more we went to the flicks see McCullin, the documentary story of the life of news photographer Don McCullin.

We have always been 'fans' of his work and have a number of his books. This is not an easy film,he photographed difficult subjects - war and it's effects on ordinary people - but his humanity shine through the terrible images.

I would recommend this film to anyone interested in photojournalism.

Also it just shows the power of Kodak Tri-X black and white film in the hands of a master.

A moving story of a man tortured by his work.
