As the sun sets....

As the sun sets on the first weekend of restriction easing, we wait with baited breath to see what the coming days bring.

Under the new restrictions in Queensland: you can go for a family drive and have a picnic (not more than 50km from home), have two visitors to the house rather than one AND your kids can bring the grandchildren over for a visit (no hugging).

Only a couple of months ago such a proposition would have been regarded as a draconian police state restriction in a country famous for its distaste of authority. It may even have prompted revolution.

Now it is a reward for a population who generally have contributed admirably to the welfare of the state! The masses are proud of their contribution and grateful for the greater freedom.

How times have changed in the blink of an eye!
