Black capped chickadee...

...in our flowering tree (which is finally getting leaves and hasn't flowered yet) in our front yard. I finally got more birdseed, having ordered it online, and filled the feeders last evening. Today there's been a steady stream of chickadees, male and female goldfinches, and male and female house finches. I waited a long time for one of them to do a "grab and go" & take it up into the tree. I was hoping for the male goldfinch but had to settle for the chickadee. An absolutely gorgeous day today, 75 with a nice breeze, & we're loving it. I did a little work on the yard then we sat out in the sun--me with my book, & Tom with his thoughts.
