Starling

We had a sudden influx of starlings in the garden today, after they discovered that we had a plentiful supply of worms. At one point I counted eight starlings feasting together. It was nice to see them as, since we had our soffits sealed to prevent them nesting there, we've hardly seen them. Funnily enough, I was only talking to Mum and Dad the other day about starling mimicry. I used to think there were buzzards outside, only to find that there were only starlings. I didn't realise, until we had that conversation, that starlings do a pretty good impression of a buzzard's mew. Also, they apparently do a very convincing car alarm.
