The birds are back

Now the Big Garden Bird Watch is over the birds have returned to the garden!
This little bluetit was one of the first to find the food that had been hidden under the snow for a week or more.
We still have just little patches of snow, but as the temp. reached 12c today I think it will be gone by tomorrow.

I have been having problems with my oven, not heating up properly.
The local repair man came today, and advised me to ring Hotpoint as it was still under warranty (3 1/2 years old) I would have to pay for the call out, but the parts would be free. He said it would be cheaper than if he had to buy the part, and fix it.
Didn't charge for coming, which I thought was very good of him.

So after a long phone call to Hotpoint, Told to ring 3 different numbers, then the usual, press 1 for this, 2 for that or 3 for the other,then press 1, or 2....then press 1, or 2, or 3.... . I finally got through to a human being, and explained what was wrong.
Well to cut a long story short, they are coming next Monday. Charge £120. !!!!!!!
Parts free! Just hope it works properly when they have finished!
Nothing made to last any more!!

Apart from that we went to look at some new cars. Not thinking of changing ours until the Autumn, but I think MrC fancied an afternoon out!
Looked at Honda Cicic, Honda Jazz, Ford Fiesta, and Ford Focus.
At the moment we have a 5 year old Peugeot 207 diesel, which I love, and we were going to get the new 208 but after seeing it we didn't like the new model. Thought they had cheapened it, so that is why we are looking at something different.

Has anyone got any of the cars we are looking at, and if so what do you think?

All in all a bit of a frustrating day!
