A happy, happy day

This is what makes all the time and effort we spend on these sick birds. I went in this morning to feed and clean Nellie. She was gone!!! She had climbed out of her pen and gone walkabout. She had a great expedition all around the hospital,( I could tell exactly where she had been by the poo trails). Our vet came in and decided it was a beautiful day for a release. We drove up to the hills overlooking the sea, and threw her off the cliffs!!!! One's heart is in one's mouth, until she flapped and soared for ages. There were some leaking eyes!!!!!!! It was wonderful.
