Pete's new shoes

22 months after I first heard him say "i really need to buy new shoes", one of my workmates Pete finally has a new pair. Must be the shock of him turning 40 last weekend or something!

Such a momentous occasion deserves a blip to show you how bad his old ones really were. Pete cycles into work every morning so his shoes are always left under the desk and never polished. We did consider throwing them in the bin after christmas whilst he was off and leaving him a note from the elfs, but thought that would be a bit harsh, especially as he'd have to walk round the office all day in his socks or cycling shoes.

Breakfast: Yogurt, special K bar
Lunch: Soup, pineapple chunks
Dinner: HB Thai Chicken & coconut curry with rice
Snack: another special k bar, 4 slices of roast chicken
