Lockdown Day 41 - G-V W
This is only the third butterfly that I have seen this year and the first I have photographed.
I spotted it in my garden and I think it had freshly emerged as it was taking just short flights and landing to rest again nearby with wings closed. It didn't appear to be nectaring and landed on leaves more frequently than on flowers.
Green-veined white, Pieris napi.
I liked this one because it was against a dark background and stood out well against the magenta honesty as well as the background.
