In the natural world
Not only is he now feeding the kids on his own but Mrs Robin is demanding that he shows he can also feed her as she has started laying her 2nd brood. You can see her tummy feathers are looking worn now. Fortunately my friendly male is up to the job, with the help of a few mealworms from me. In extra, the blue tit out from the confines of her box for a little break is also beginning to show that she has no time for feather preening now. She has 11 eggs to turn and keep warm.
Other action from the humans today included a lovely riverside walk and a cheerful visit from Dan and Lotty who kept their distance in the garden and delivered some provisions from Costco. Dan like me would just love a game of golf soon. He should be in Budapest on a stag do but in our new crazy world, he is having a virtual stag party tonight (Lotty said she will lock herself away in the lounge). Apparently the beer is in the fridge ready and games etc are organised - I can't even imagine what he and his pals will get up to but Im sure they will make a good time of it ! His pals wedding is booked for August and he is still hopeful that will go ahead ???
