Wood Pigeon

I spent a restful half hour in the garden this afternoon photographing birds at the feeders. I managed to capture quote a range of birds but particularly liked the wing display of this juvenile pigeon. Obviously it has to continuously flap its wings in order to stay on the feeder. There seem to be more and more larger birds,(eg starlings and magpies) who try and use the bird feeders much to my chagrin as they tend to get through a feeder full of bird seed in a couple of days.
