Portrait of a Dove

Dear Diary,

It seems as if my camera is stuck in "portrait mode" just now!  Another poser in the dooryard, a Mourning Dove!  I was just captivated by the feather patterns on this gentle soul...and of course those pink feet!  Doves are year-round residents here and make daily trips to the Back Porch Café, mainly to toss around the seeds that Rosie and Wilbur then have to then hoover up!  I love them and their mournful calls. It is sunny and already 60F this morning!  Ah...it is going to be a glorious spring day.  Out to pick more daffodils soon.
