I always say White Rabbits at the beginning of a new month and wondered where this superstition came from so I asked my good friend Google who told me :-
"Rabbit rabbit rabbit" is a superstition found in Britain and North America wherein a person says or repeats the words "rabbit", "rabbits" and/or "white rabbits" aloud upon waking on the first day of a month, to ensure good luck for the rest of it".
So there you have it let's hope it works and we have great weather again in May.
Well it was a reasonable start as it was slightly warmer for my cycle ride. I was also able to start work clearing out and cleaning the second greenhouse ready for its  new racking. The only down pour with hail was at lunchtime and after lunch the sun was out again so I could continue work.
I can make the racking out of old timber that I have accumulated over the years. I thought if I use it all I'll  have nothing to put on the new racking. My monster circular bench saw which I bought in an eBay auction some years ago made light work of cutting up the planks and within a couple of hours all the timber was waiting to be cut to size tomorrow to build the racks. I decided I am going to bolt it together with coach bolts as I did with the wood store greenhouse as that seemed to work well. Unfortunately I have used up my supply of longer bolts so I've ordered some more off eBay and should arrive mid next week. Hopefully this is the only expense I will have for this little job.
All in all a good productive day today and I looking forward to cracking on tomorrow.
