May day
C went back to work today so I was home alone. Felt unsettled, I have no idea why. I started sorting out Australia and NZ photo book photos and then had a very long and satisfying conversation with J in her Aberdeen garden. We swapped experiences of being away and travelling as we slid into a pandemic. We also shared our anger at our totally incompetent Governments, led by Westminster, and the tragedy of the lost 7 weeks. At some point to they must be held to account.
Post lunch the last of the CDN sessions, by Isle of Harris Gin. Lots of pretty pictures of Harris, but no gin.. Being non interactive I put the camera off and multitasked. After the sun came out so outside for a wee bit to rake up some dead moss and plant the seed tatties that arrived on Tuesday.
Then it was time for our own Zoom Wine o'Clock which ended abruptly after the 40 minutes . An upgrade is on the cards.
But the best thing I did was sort the front TV. Even although I'd checked it already turned out it was the aerial, not the internet connection. Normal service was resumed and I felt so much better. After HIGNFY binge watched almost all of series 3 of 'Last Tango in Halifax'. The writing is superb.
No GMW. I've decided I'll feel sad in a way when this phase ends as other people's lives will change and mine won't. This is my life.
Change in Malaysia. The Istana and a few other buildings being lit up blue for May Day to show support to frontliners and from Monday businesses, including restaurants, with restrictions, can reopen. WH will get back to the office a few days a week. I hope it doesn't lead to a spike.
15 days gone, 6 to go.
