May Day

It was a public holiday here today, not that that makes much difference to most people these days!
Normally I'd be in the village and I'd make a traditional May garland with flowers from the garden. This year I didn't want to pick the few flowers on my balcony so I've made a virtual garland instead.
I was rather appalled to see that the paths going up to the mountain had been almost completely stripped bare of wildflowers by midday when I went for my walk. Everyone I saw had bunches of anything that was left, including branches of trees, and poppies and rock roses which only last 2 minutes if you pick them. Sad.

I also made a very good batch of hot cross buns.. not officially the right time for them I know, but never too late in my opinion. And good to improve on my Easter efforts!
