Today's Surprise Bird!

A rose-breasted grosbeak (male) came to my feeder this morning! Last year I saw one (him?) on May 6th. Never saw it again all spring or summer. I wonder if I'm just a stop on his way to somewhere? Nice of him to drop by, in any case.

Meanwhile, the catbird was helping itself to both seed and the bark butter feeder today. And then s/he had a bath! See extra.

I participated in a Zoom meet-up for the first time ever today. The ladies who usually dine together monthly. It was rather glitchy, but pleasant enough. It would help to have better broadband. Also - hard to get the one person speaking at a time thing to work smoothly.
