Sand and stars in the Sea of Alboran

Got to Gibraltar much faster than expected, so it was long behind by the time I woke up. Pity as the sunrise and clouds looked impressive on the various phone shots people showed me!

Long day running through the Sea of Alboran, Sierra Nevada to the north, Atlas mountains just visible in the haze along the southern shore. Also missed us passing close to the Isla de Alboran - a tiny island right in the middle between Spain and Morocco.

Almost missed the sunset too - spectacular layers of red,  the hazy clouds no doubt a certain proportion airborne sand from the sahara. See Extras right >>>
