Alas poor Earth

We humans have injured our beautiful Earth most grievously and she is bleeding heavily. Can she ever be repaired?

Extra. This afternoon we should have been in South Africa on the battlefield of Isandlwana but the situation being what it is we were on Newburgh beach! So, here is a photograph that  I prepared some years ago!
