Muguet du Bois - memories

Picked these this morning and they bought back memories of when I lived in Paris in the 1960’s. I remember every 1st of May seeing flower sellers on street corners selling these sweet scented flowers. They were given to friends and family as a token of appreciation, friendship and good luck. Very apt in today’s climate. The tradition started in 1560 when a Knight presented King Charles IX with a bunch of lily of the valley for luck, happiness and prosperity for the coming year.
I wish all my blip friends a very happy May Day.
