Spiderwort

A rather ugly name for a beautiful wildflower I feel! We came across these as we took our daily walk at Sharon Woods this afternoon - just Roger and I today as Laura was walking with a friend. It was a cool gloomy day with some rain, but fortunately it stayed dry long enough for our walk. We enjoyed a Zoom chat this morning with members from our church choir - the first time we had tried this, so it was great to see each other’s faces again. The earliest estimate for getting back to some form of church worship is May 24th - but there’s still a lot of details to sort out before that, as we would still have to be following some form of distancing.
Laura and I got started on a jigsaw puzzle this evening - Lighthouses of North Carolina - that should keep us busy on and off for a while!
