Run!
After finally thinking I'd got work under control and in some sort of routine, it's now time to do the same for my personal life. A group I'm in had set Quarantine goals. Mine were 15 minutes of languages, meditate and 15 minutes of stretching (all of which had gone completely out of the window).
I have been hyper aware that I'm not leaving the house for days at a time. If I don't go out first thing then by the time I might want to go out, it feels too busy for it to be safe. So last night I put my running stuff by the bed. 6:15am alarm. Up. Dressed. Out.
I've started couch to 5K again from scratch. I've not been allowed to exercise for nearly a year (and yes, the physio is still dubious) but it was so nice to be out and it didn't feel as hard as when I originally tried to do it. By the time I'd be heading back it felt like the canal would be too busy to stay away from people so instead I did laps of the far park. Desire lines are beginning to show where others are obviously doing similar.
Later meditated before work, did my languages and found a follow along hamstring stretch tutorial as lockdown has made them super tight.
