Unexpected colour.

On such a grey dreary day, it was a pleasant surprise to come across this colourful hedge on my walk today, almost better than when the leaves have grown. Not very good with plant and tree names but think it is dogwood?

Of to see the film of Les Miserables tonight with three friends. Due to go last Tuesday but weather scuppered our plans.
