Food shopping day.

One of our biggest worries when we started shielding weeks ago was about how to shop safely for food. We are wholly dependent on deliveries.

Fortunately, and fingers crossed, we are sorted. We have had on-line food deliveries for years, topping up in between times, so despite the ending of regular delivery slots are regarded as “loyal customers” as well as being dependent on deliveries, so we have a route through the maze. But for those in a more precarious position than us this must be a really worrying time.

Thursday is our weekly delivery day. Everything that comes through the door is washed and cleaned by J, a big operation that takes a long time. Probably over the top but we feel safer that way.

We also have a quarantine area for other on-line shopping. So all angles covered.

Thursday is also food shop ordering day, for 3 weeks in advance. I just have to remember to do that.

So far it all works. Hope it continues that way.
