Glen Etive

This red deer hind was one of a little herd of deer standing on the road in Glen Etive today. They were quite unconcerned that we stopped to take photographs. Earlier today we had lunch at the Kings House Hotel, where there was also a herd of red deer, including 2 stags, who were most interested to see if we had anything edible on our persons!
It was such a privilege to be allowed to get so close to these beautiful, elegant creatures.
