Tripping

Woke up feeling more energised that of late, made my tea, sorted out some washing, went to the dryer and tripped the fuse board! No problem, just reset... no. Kept tripping. Unplugged everything in the den. Still tripping. Tried fuses one by one. Den ones fine, rest of house not. Weird. Finally worked out that although it is in the den, the tumble dryer runs off main house ring. Replaced the socket front. Still tripping. Tracked back the cable to a junction box and disconnected the whole spur. Still tripping. Grrrrr. Disconnected outdoor lights. Better. Switched den lights on. Tripped. Puzzled. Hmmm - let’s just try one more time. Hold breath. Held fast! Cautiously replugged throughout the house. All seems good. Now I have the challenge of rewiring the spur, which is jam packed with cables. Couldn’t face it, so that’s a task for tomorrow.
Switched focus to school work, treated ourselves to take away pizza and then taught myself “we’ll meet again” on the pan to help switch off.
