Sheltering

Got up this morning and took the dogs out about 7.30am for a walk around the loop, it was dry and calm but overcast and there was even a little hint of pink in the sky - this was obviously a warning of the weather to come!

Roll on to lunch time and it is a completely different day, strong winds and lashing rain! As we headed home at lunch time I asked hubby to swing round by the bay hoping to get a weather shot but the tide was going out and the rain was coming straight at us so it was impossible to get a picture without the camera getting completely wet.

Anyway as we turned away I spotted these sheep tucked in around the boat trying to keep out of the worst of the weather.

The horse from yesterdays blip was happily munching away in the field this morning but is now back in exactly the same position as I blipped him yesterday! It the forecast is anything to go by I think he will be there for a while!

Bit of an update on the weather front, just a breeze here in Portree, gust of 58mph recorded but in Lochmaddy (north Uist) there has been a recorded gust of 91mph this evening - hope everyone is keeping safe over in the Outer Isles.
