Wednesday: A Day of Surprises!
#1 Philip the pheasant woke me up at 6:30am, he’d woken MrD up even earlier...
#2 the pheasant again, having his breakfast under the bird feeders - got photo of him disappearing!
#3 repotting my solitary courgette & found another tiny seedling next to it
#4 there are at least 3 cucumber seedlings under the net and the flower seeds are germinating well ... best of all , a new kale “Hebridean Asparagus” from the seed swap :-))
Considering that we’re in Covid-19 lockdown, this is about as exciting as life gets & Great British Sewing Bee on tonight & I’ve got as far as Series 3 of “Spooks” ...
Also potted on climbing Malabar spinach (basella alba) and some salad leaves. Between heavy showers I’ve cleared an old patch of soil and hope to plant the potatoes which have started sprouting, left over from our half sack bought mid-March.
Stay healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
