Pinks
It seems incredible as the year marches on, it is time again for the Sea Pinks. All along the west coast these little pink flowers were blowing in the wind. We went out to collect fresh vegetables and more eggs and whilst out we walked Indie and Alfie on the beach headland where there was nobody walking.
It was nice to see that where we passed today the Liberation Day flags and bunting are already out and blowing in the wind, ready for the special day on 9th May. It made everything seem quite joyful. We even passed a small fishing boat with a rainbow painting on the hull and flying the Guernsey flag (in extras)
The island government has asked for bunting and flags to go out early this year as community solidarity against the virus. The numbers continue to go down as the recoveries increase.
