Life after Burradoo, NSW

Timeless

One of the things that is helping us get through our isolation is, each day, looking back at the photos we took six months ago when we were in the UK. Six months ago today we visited the V&A Museum in London. It was absolutely wonderful and spellbinding. In the jewellery exhibition we came across a beautiful gold timepiece (see extra photo). It immediately reminded me of a timepiece that I inherited from my father, which was made in London in 1867 and purchased as a gift by great grandfather for his fiancée, my great grandmother.

That day in London I promised myself that when I arrived home I would photograph my beautiful timepiece and compare it to the photograph of the timepiece in the V&A Museum. Today, six months later, I finally got around to doing so. Here are photos of the front and back of my treasured timepiece.
