Puffing Billy

Our last day of school holidays and we went to Puffing Billy and actually went on the train, which we haven't done for many years. We did the Lakeside to Gembrook section, because it's always quieter and is a prettier route (we think so anyway). As expected it was not at all busy and we somehow chose the coldest day of the summer - it was (or seemed to be) freezing! (we were going to go last Friday, but it was a Total Fire Ban day and there is no point in going for a steam train ride if the stream trains are replaced with diesels...)

School tomorrow! First day at High School for son S... I'm anxious even if he isn't!

Now I must go and wash all the soot out of my hair...
