Nearly a disaster.

Some careless young guys were having a campfire last week. The fire spread into this face of tinder dry pampas grass as a huge blaze. It is unbelievable that it didn't spread into the neighbouring pine forest but our wonderful helicopter fire crews managed to keep the fire confined to the pampas. Looks ugly but could have been a lot worse.
