Raindrops

Another chilly, rainy day. We might be due some sunshine - I'm putting in an order. I did some garden work while the rain was still light. A tortoise and I startled each other, and he took off at a gallop for the woods. I visited Abernethy & Spencer later on, along with one or two other people about an acre distant from each other, and found some perennials to cover a patchy, weedy place. The parrot said hello to me at the cash register. David the owner was glum.

In the afternoon, I met up with my friend Laura to write together at the library. Instead of a study room, however, we sat with our laptops in our respective cars in the parking lot. The county has extended the WiFi from each library so it reaches outside. After a couple hours we rolled down our windows to share progress. Worked pretty well! though not super for the back.

Salmon for dinner tonight, and a blazing fire in the fireplace - I'm finally warm.
